Be Proactive by Greeting Office Visitors

Reading Time: < 1 minute

When people come to your business, you should greet them and help them if they need it. Some people might not need help, but they might sit down or use the free WiFi you provide. It’s okay if they do this, but you can also ask them if they need help. This will help you know if they might try to harm your company.

Some people might try to learn about your business. They might do this by talking to your employees or watching and taking pictures. You can train your employees to look for these signs, like people who are counting footsteps or who are looking around a lot. If someone seems suspicious, you can have your employees talk to them and see if they need help. If the person gets scared and leaves, that’s a good sign that they were up to no good.

If you see any more suspicious activity, you should tell the management team right away. Note what the person looks like and where they are. Are they near anything they shouldn’t be? Are they using the company’s WiFi in the lobby? Do they ask questions about company staff that seems strange? These could be signs that the person is trying to collect information about your business.

People can threaten your business in different ways. Sometimes they might do it online, but other times they might try to come into your business. The best way to protect yourself is to greet everyone who comes in and talk to them, even if they don’t look like they need help. That way, you will be able to tell if someone is trying to do something bad.
